Two procedures in Tunisia, two years apart
Two operations, two years apart, in the same country with the same team. That sequence is more informative than any single testimonial, because the decision to come back is made with full knowledge of what the first trip was actually like.
Gina Baptiste had a breast augmentation in Tunisia, then returned two years later for an abdominoplasty. Here is what each trip involved, why the two were kept separate, and what her experience does and does not tell you about your own.
Who is Gina Baptiste?
Gina Baptiste is a fashion and beauty content creator, known in France alongside her partner Zak from the television series Les Incroyables Mariages Gitans and Les Incroyables Familles Gitanes on TFX.
What makes her useful here is not her audience. It is that she speaks openly about her procedures, at a time when most people who have had them do not.
The first trip: breast augmentation
Why Tunisia
Breast augmentation with ServiHealth costs €2,500. The same operation in France costs considerably more.
That price covers the CE-certified implants, the hospital stay, the post-surgical bra, transfers and follow-up. What it does not cover is set out on our prices page, and reading that part matters as much as reading the figure.
The consultation, where the result is actually decided
This is the part people skip over, and it is the part that determines what you end up with.
The surgeon takes measurements, assesses the quality of the tissue and the skin, and tries sizing implants so you can see what different volumes look like on your own body rather than on someone else's. Shape, position and the surgical approach are chosen from that examination.
None of this can be done from photographs, which is why the volume is not agreed in advance by message. More on the procedure itself on our breast augmentation page.
The operation and the weeks after
General anaesthetic, one to two hours of surgery, one night under observation. A post-surgical bra is worn for several weeks.
The result settles over several weeks rather than appearing on the table. Implants sit higher at first and descend into position gradually, which is normal and is the reason nobody judges a breast augmentation at two weeks.
Two years later: returning for an abdominoplasty
A different kind of operation
An abdominoplasty removes excess skin and tightens the abdominal muscles, leaving a low horizontal scar. No other technique removes skin that has already stretched — energy devices tighten what is there, but they do not take anything away.
It costs €2,200 on its own, or €2,950 combined with multi-area liposuction, for a six-day stay.
A more demanding recovery
One to two nights under observation. You walk and sleep slightly bent forward for the first days, so the repair is not under tension. A compression garment is worn for several weeks, and lifting is restricted.
The scar takes around twelve months to settle, and it typically looks worse between the third and sixth month before it improves. Knowing that in advance is what stops people panicking at month four. We cover scar care in more detail in our guide to how surgical scars evolve and how to care for them.
Why one procedure at a time
There are medical reasons — total anaesthetic time, the volume of tissue operated on — and practical ones. Recovering from one operation is manageable. Recovering from two at once is a different proposition, and people routinely underestimate it.
Whether two procedures can be combined is decided by the surgeon at the consultation, case by case. Sometimes it is the right answer. Here it was not.
Her testimonial, in her own words
Gina describes her experience on video. You can watch it on our reviews page.
What this journey shows, and what it does not
Coming back says more than an opinion. A patient who returns two years later has had time to live with the first result, including the parts nobody mentions in the first month.
The two operations work differently. One adds volume, the other removes tissue. They are not variations on a theme, and they do not have comparable recoveries.
Results take time. Several weeks for the breast, several months for the abdomen, around a year for the scar.
A testimonial is not a promise. One person's experience is one person's anatomy, one person's healing and one person's expectations. Results vary, and a testimonial recorded at the moment of a good result is always enthusiastic. Read it for what the pathway involves, not as a forecast of your own.
Frequently asked questions
How much does a breast augmentation cost in Tunisia?
€2,500 with ServiHealth, including CE-certified implants, the hospital stay, the post-surgical bra, transfers and follow-up. The full breakdown is on the prices page.
How much does an abdominoplasty cost in Tunisia?
€2,200 on its own, or €2,950 combined with multi-area liposuction, for a six-day stay.
Can several procedures be done during the same trip?
Sometimes. It depends on the total anaesthetic time the surgeon considers acceptable and on your general health, and it is decided at the consultation rather than when booking.
When do you see the result?
Several weeks for a breast augmentation, several months for an abdominoplasty, and around twelve months for the scar to settle.
Should you wait between two procedures?
Yes. How long depends on what was done and how you recovered, and your surgeon sets the interval.
How do I get an opinion on my own situation?
Send us photographs and a description of what you have in mind. You will have an opinion and a personalised quote within 24 to 48 hours, free and without obligation.
